I think Eva is winning her over by being persistent, but non-threatening. By the time they slept near each other last night, I can't imagine Matilda felt so much defeated as perhaps accepting. And hopefully she's learning from her adventures. Tilly will be wise to remember of our many family mottos: "Every bad day contains the seeds of a better one."
